Acupuncture and Moxabustion
Indigo specialises in Japanese acupuncture — a refined, hands-on style that uses exceptionally fine needles for a gentle yet deeply effective treatment experience. Central to this approach is hara diagnosis: careful palpation of the abdomen to assess the body's energetic landscape and guide treatment in real time. Needles are placed with precision, and the body's response is continually felt and interpreted throughout the session — making each treatment truly responsive rather than formulaic.
Moxibustion, the therapeutic application of heat using the highest quality dried mugwort, is woven in where appropriate to warm, tonify, and support the body's own healing process.
Treatment at Indigo is supported by integrated advice across nutrition, lifestyle, herbal medicine, and supplementation — drawing from both traditional and evidence-informed frameworks to meet your individual needs.
Needle-free Meridian Therapy
All the therapeutic benefit of meridian-based treatment, without needles. Using a range of specialised instruments — tuning forks, teishin, electrostatic adsorbers, ion pumping cords, diode rings, and cupping — this approach works with the body's energetic and physiological systems in a way that is gentle, non-invasive, and deeply effective.
Needle-free meridian therapy is particularly well-suited to those with heightened sensitivity, an overactive or dysregulated nervous system, or those navigating burnout and exhaustion. It is also an excellent choice for children, or anyone who simply responds better to a softer therapeutic touch. Subtle does not mean less powerful — for sensitive systems especially, this gentler approach often produces profound results.
Working with Fascia
Fascia is the connective tissue web that surrounds every muscle, organ, and nerve in the body. When it tightens or becomes restricted — through injury, posture, or stress — it can contribute to chronic pain, reduced mobility, and a sense of being "stuck."
This approach is rooted in the Ortho-Bionomy system — a gentle, osteopathically-derived method that works with the body's own reflexes rather than against them. Rather than applying force, the practitioner guides the body into positions of ease, allowing the nervous system to down-regulate and the fascia to release and reorganise naturally. As tension held in the connective tissue softens, the body's capacity for self-repair is restored — relieving pain, rejuvenating joints and tissue, and returning a sense of ease and fluid movement throughout the whole body.
